“The People side of Change” is referring to the people involved and/or affected by the change which is being implemented. It is invariably the most complex to get right.

Why is it important to manage the People Side of change?

The largest factor identified globally for the failure of projects is “People”.

Invariably people will be expected to interact with a new change, and no work has been done to ensure there is a smooth transition. At worst people can make the change entirely redundant by not interacting at all.
